Tarzan of the Apes v1 #243, 1975 - Not surprisingly, this shark-themed cover coincides with the premiere of the first Jaws movie. For one of his later covers for the series, Joe Kubert does an admirable job. The solid black background allows Tarzan's figure to stand out. Particularly skillful is how the artist positions the hero's limbs to perfectly frame the shark's nose. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Rudy Florese.
