Teen-age Romances v1 #13, 1950 - Smothering love, an ambitious career and the wrong crowd are the themes to a trio of
Matt Baker stories. Two of the three are comparable in artistic quality, filled with splendid settings and figure drawings. The first story, "I Was Too Fast For Love", is slightly better, mostly due to the roomy opening splash. A fourth tale, "I Played With Fire" is a reprint (originally titled "My Strange Complex") from
Pictorial Confessions #2. All of these are encased in Baker's beautiful cover, illustrating a girl's recollection of a recent confrontation. Other artists in this golden age comic include Chuck Miller. This is 13 of 42
