| Detective Comics #485 |
Detective Comics v1 #485, 1979 - After circus owner Kathy Kane is attacked, the Batman tracks the perpetrators to the League of Assassins. Don Newton introduces the Bronze Tiger, a martial arts expert and a brainwashed disciple of the Sensei. His capable drawings look even better with Dan Adkin's supple inking. This story was later reprinted in Tales of the Batman: Don Newton #1. In a separate story, Jason Blood is forced to resurface his Demon persona by Baron Tyme. Steve Ditko's layouts are conservative, but his drawings meet expectations. Graphic shapes and linework make his last Demon episode far more interesting and enjoyable. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Don Heck and John Celardo. Cover by Dick Giordano.- - - - - - - - - -
