Teen-age Romances #22 - Matt Baker art & cover

Matt Baker
Teen-age Romances v1 #22, 1952Matt Baker illustrates the entire issue, including four feature-length tales. Stealing boyfriends, seducing college professors and leveraging her family's wealth are just a few activities by the main female characters. Suffice it to say, they eventually learn compelling lessons passed on to the readership. "Wrong-Way Romance" and "I Stole My Sister's Boyfriend" are especially good, populated with attractive and naturalistic figure drawings. "I Went Wild in Paris" also stands out, partly due to Baker's fine detailing and partly due to the foreign setting. Interestingly, the scenes depict the seedier aspects of the city. This is 22 of 42 Teen-age Romances issues by Baker.
