Pictorial Romances #21 - Matt Baker art & cover

Matt Baker
Pictorial Romances v1 #21, 1953 - Visiting a sorority sister in New York, a suburban housewife yearns to be single once again. She subsequently begins dating various men, coming dangerously close to being sexually assaulted. Matt Baker nicely contrasts the woman's simple life with the glamour and prestige of the big city. Not surprisingly, the women are beautifully dressed and artfully posed. Baker's work from the 1950s always conveyed a high degree of sophistication. This story of infidelity and his (unrelated) cover design are no exceptions. This is number 18 of 21 Pictorial Romances issues with Baker art and/or covers.
