Teen-age Romances v1 #38, 1954 - One of the more suggestive covers of the 1950s, a boy insists on sleeping in the back seat along with his female passenger. Her partially raised skirt reveals her right leg, the only hint of sexuality. Curiously, their dialogue and actions imply evening time, but the windshield clearly shows daylight. Matt Baker's layout is deceptively simple, but intentionally drawn by a master of the romance genre. All three interior stories are Baker reprints from Pictorial Confessions #1. This is 35 of 42 Teen-age Romances issues by Baker.
