Teen-age Romances v1 #2, 1949 - A student nurse gets involved with a handsome young doctor, a local girl falls for the class romeo and a teenager moves out of the house, nearer to her boyfriend's army base. This trio of
Matt Baker tales is adequately drawn. The settings and scenarios are firmly established in the artist's roomy opening panels. Of the three, the malt shop scene in "I Took the Wrong Road to Romance" has the most complex and interesting layout. This story was later reprinted in
Teen-Age Romances #12. "I Dared to Kiss and Tell" and "How Could I Fight Temptation?" both appeared later in
Diary Secrets #19. Baker's cover seems to lack his usual sophistication. Other artists in this golden age comic include Lily Renee. This is 2 of 42
