Matt Baker |
Pictorial Romances v1 #7, 1951 - Based on the predictions of a fortune teller, a young woman attaches herself to the wrong man. Matt Baker's opening splash introduces the main character, her legs revealed by an all-too convenient breeze. Typical of the genre, text and dialogue fill the pages. However, this doesn't stop the artist from adding splendid details on almost every panel. This story was later reprinted in Teen-age Temptations #9. Baker's exotic cover is equally masterful in layout and execution. This issue also includes a Baker reprint from Teen-Age Diary Secrets / Blue Ribbon Comics v2 #4. Other artists in this golden age comic include Chuck Miller. This is 1 of 21 Pictorial Romances issues by Baker.
