Teen-age Romances #5 - Matt Baker art

Teen-age Romances v1 #5, 1949 - A small town beauty queen goes to Hollywood to seek her fortune and a young woman is cast away by her social-climbing boyfriend. Both stories are ably drawn and laid out by Matt Baker. The artist inks the first in crisp, clear lines while the second has a softer touch. A third tale tells of a couple whose love blossoms on a rural farm. Baker's art is much roomier, due to the all the text placed below the open framed panels. All three stories vary slightly in style but comfortably meet expectations. "I Was a Hollywood Cinderella" (retitled "Bad Behavior") was later reprinted in Diary Secrets #13. "My One Little Mistake" and "Love Is Born" were later reprinted in both Diary Secrets #13 and Diary Secrets #30. This is number 5 of 42 Teen-age Romances issues with Baker art and/or covers.
