Walt Disney's Uncle Scrooge v1 #7, 1954 - Following an arduous desert trail, Donald and his nephews join Uncle Scrooge in his search for the
Seven Cities of Cibola. But with so much gold at stake, can the Beagle Boys be far behind?
Carl Barks makes even the vast, dry desert visually interesting. His cast of duck characters are funny and expressive, even more so when they discover a Spanish galleon and cities built within cliff walls. With a penchant for contraptions, the artist also includes a pitfall not dissimilar to the Indiana Jones movies. This story and a single-pager were later reprinted in
Best of Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge #2. Barks' second tale is shorter, about a missing million dollar carrier pigeon. This was later reprinted in
Best of Walt Disney Comics #96172. This is 7 of 70
