Tarzan #56 |
Tarzan v1 #56,
1954 - Captured by slave traders, Dan-El and Natongo are shackled and forced to march on a route toward the coast.
Russ Manning employs both open and framed panels for variety's sake. Layouts are just adequate. Lush scenery improves his overall effort. His drawing style continues to evolve, but his detailing is erratic at times. This golden age issue also includes artwork by Jesse Marsh. Cover painting by Moe Gollub. This is 18 of 133
Tarzan issues by
Manning.
