G.I. Combat #240 dc 1970s bronze age comic book cover by Joe Kubert
Joe Kubert
G.I. Combat v1 #240, 1982 - Sgt. Hummel sticks by the book in training and in practice, but will it help or hurt his platoon when things go horribly wrong? Nestor Redondo is solely credited with art, but several panels suggest others lending a hand with the inks. It mostly adheres to his style, faltering on occasion. Page three's attack by Japanese soldiers is a high point of the visuals. Joe Kubert's cover is mostly sloppy in execution. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Sam Glanzman and E.R. Cruz. This is 142 of 190 G.I. Combat issues by Kubert and 1 of 1 G.I. Combat issues by Redondo,
