Teen-age Romances v1 #24, 1952 - "From Waitress to Model" chronicles the rise of a young woman whose success puts her relationship in jeopardy. Like his cover,
Matt Baker's story is adequately drawn. Ray Osrin's inks seem to add the right amount of finesse and polish. The layouts are slightly varied, just enough to avoid repetition (this tale was later reprinted in
Cinderella Love v3 #28), Perhaps due to its brevity, Baker's single pager is far more crowded with text and looser in its rendition. The last three panels are almost unrecognizable in his style. "I Learned My Lesson" was later reprinted in
Going Steady #12. Other artists in this golden age comic include Lily Renee. This is 24 of 45
