Dark Horse Presents v1 #57, 1991 - John Byrne chronicles the Next Men's escape in their last episode before their own self-titled series. His cover, meanwhile, pays homage to >Daredevil #1. As with the previous issues, Byrne's artwork excels even when devoid of color. Frank Miller's Sin City segment is set on a remote farm, where a silent yet deadly killer proves too much of match for Marv. Narration and dialogue are minimal, allowing the story's frenetic action to dominate. This episode was later reprinted in the Sin City trade paperback. Other artists in this issue include Eddie Campbell. This is 4 of 4 Dark Horse Presents issues by Byrne and 7 of 13 Dark Horse Presents issues by Miller.
