Batman v1 #400, 1986 - Reaching a landmark in DC Comics, this giant 400th issue boasts an introduction by Stephen King and a bevy of great artists throughout. A prison break results in the escape of multiple super-villains, which drives Batman and Robin into action. Joe Kubert is tasked with illustrating one of the chapters, but his loose, spontaneous approach seems less suited for the copper age.
