Ragman #3 - Joe Kubert art & cover

Joe Kubert
Ragman v1 #3, 1977 - A young boy witnesses a murder by local mobsters, despite his inability to see. Joe Kubert not only provides the arresting cover, but some layouts and key panels as well. Much of the art is drawn by others, but Kubert's hand is prominent in certain scenes. The compositions of pages 4, 5 ,8-11, 15-17 are almost certainly by the artist, with many panels he may have drawn himself (see interior page below). The visual inconsistency is far outweighed by his impressive drawings. Other artists in this issue include the multiple artists of The Redondo Studio. This is number 3 of 5 Ragman issues with Kubert art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Kubert or Ragman issues. See also this blog's Joe Kubert checklist.
