Pictorial Romances v1 #11, 1952 - As conveyed on Matt Baker's splendid cover, a young wife leaves her husband's farm for the excitement of city life. Although heavy with dialogue, the story's artwork is polished and purposeful. Flourishes abound on narrative text boxes, adding variety to the overall layouts. Baker's skill stands out more so compared to his other two stories: "Crazy for Love" (originally titled "I Liked Older Men") from Teen-Age Diary Secrets (#5) and "Playgirl at Work" (originally "They Caught Me Cheating at Love") from Pictorial Confessions #3. Also included is "I Learned by Trial and Error" (originally "I Loved and Lost"), a Joe Kubert reprint from Hollywood Confessions #1. This is 8 of 21 Pictorial Romances issues by Baker.
