Three Stooges v2 #1 |
Three Stooges v2 #1, 1953 - Fearless and down-to-earth, stunt girl Jeanie Steele makes an enemy of a local starlet. Joe Kubert's artwork on this back-up story is lively and entertaining. Some panels are smaller than others, but the artist puts them to good use without feeling constrained. Gradient halftones are used to add depth, most prominently on the opening page. This issue also includes artwork by Norman Maurer. This is 3 of 9 Three Stooges issues by Kubert. /// key 1st issue
