House of Mystery #302 - Nestor Redondo art

House of Mystery v1 #302, 1982 - Nestor Redondo rarely drew for DC during this period, but comes through with this elegantly drawn tale. A high stakes gambler who puts his youth on the line against an elderly casino owner. There are some beautiful panels, the most noteworthy being the time-elapsed montage on page four (see interior page below). Although he shares co-credit with another artist, Redondo appears to have done most of the inking as well. Other artists in this issue include Mike Kaluta, Tom Sutton, Curt Swan, Murphy Anderson and Dan Spiegle. This is number 15 of 16 House of Mystery issues with Redondo art and/or covers.
