Weird War Tales #68 - Frank Miller art, Joe Kubert cover

Joe Kubert
Weird War Tales v1 #68, 1978 - During the 1930s, an American reporter is dispatched to Spain to record the conflict between Franco and his enemies. Frank Miller draws his second of two early works for this title. Unlike his previous story, this one shows the semblance of a style that would distinguish him only a few years later. His drawings are rudimentary, sometimes lost under Danny Bulanadi's inks. This is partially offset by Miller's experimentations with layout. Joe Kubert turns in a less than sufficient cover. Other artists in this issue include Gerry Talaoc. This is number 2 of 2 Weird War Tales issues with Miller art and/or covers.
