Joe Kubert |
Weird War Tales v1 #64, 1978 - Making a deal with the devil, a GI secures the promise of survival on the D-Day invasion. Frank Miller does the story pencils, struggling with basic layout and figure drawing. Sadly, inker Danny Bulanadi adds little improvement. Miller's style, although nascent, is almost unrecognizable. This story (Miller's first for DC) was later reprinted in
Sgt. Rock Special #6.
Joe Kubert comes through with a usually competent cover design. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Juan Ortiz and Romeo Tanghal. This is 22 of 51
