Sgt. Rock's Prize Battle Tales / DC Special Series v1 #18, 1979 - Though digest sized, this comic reprints some of the best DC war stories from previous decades. Two excellent works by Joe Kubert are showcased, specifically from Star Spangled War Stories v2 #150 (Enemy Ace) and Our Army at War #124 (Sgt. Rock). Equally superb is a haunting Alex Toth tale from Weird War Tales #10. Kubert's painterly new cover is a bonus. Other artists in this bronze age digest include John Severin and Mort Drucker.
