Detective Comics v1 #511, 1982 - A emergence of a thief that can create realistic illusions captures the Batman's attention. Mirage makes his first appearance in Gotham. Don Newton employs more large panels than usual, experimenting with more unusual shapes. Combined with his usually competent drawings, the result largely meets expectations. This story was later reprinted in
