My Own Romance v1 #57, 1957 - Now married, Alice pines after an old boyfriend who moved out of state. When he suddenly returns, her emotions run rampant. Matt Baker mostly adheres to a six panel grid, but his drawings have a soft, tender touch. Adding a few amorphous shaped panels also increases variety and interest. This strong effort by Baker is ironically uncredited in most comic book price guides. Other artists in this golden age comic include Jay Scott Pike, Ann Brewster and Vince Colletta.
