Machine Man #19 - Steve Ditko art, Frank Miller cover + 1st Jack O' Lantern

Frank Miller

Machine Man v1 #19, 1981 - In this final issue of the series, Machine Man fends off an attack by the Jack O' Lantern at a Halloween party (where else?). Frank Miller's cover is superbly choreographed, fitting in a multitude of witnesses on the scene without feeling crowded. Aside from the title page, Steve Ditko's interior story atr shows a severe lack of effort. Both his drawings and layouts look hastily executed. Jack O' Lantern makes his first appearance in this copper age comic.
