Wolverine v2 #23, 1990 - A dictatorship topples, an ancient creature falters and a surviving Nazi has one last confrontation with Wolverine. Ending his run on the series, John Byrne handles both the pencilling and inking chores. The art is a tad more polished and finished, but still retains some spontaneity. On Byrne's excellent cover, Wolverine's prey subtly appears as reflections in the three adamantium spikes. This same idea would be used later on
