Tarzan v1 #60, 1954 - Accompanying a caravan, the Brothers of the Spear discover a murderous plot against the merchant prince. Russ Manning employs more shadow and areas of black into the panels, resulting in more vivid layouts. His style begins to evolve into the more graphic approach of his later acclaimed works. Other artists in this issue include Jessie Marsh.
