G.I. Combat #102 |
G.I. Combat v1 #102, 1963 - Jeb Stuart's ghost predicts the Haunted Tank will win a battle with a single shot. With panzer tanks in abundance in the area, could he be wrong? In one of the few Haunted Tank tales by Joe Kubert, the artwork is quite riveting. Most interesting is the artist's careful sequencing of panels in many scenes. When the tank and crew are turned sideways due to a blast, Kubert uses long vertical panels to clever effect (page 5). This story was later reprinted in G.I. Combat #148. Other artists in this silver age comic include Jerry Grandenetti. This is 33 of 190 G.I. Combat issues by Kubert.
