Our Army at War #132 - Joe Kubert art & cover

Joe Kubert
Our Army at War v1 #132, 1963 - Bringing out his paternal instincts, Sgt. Rock must transport an infant to a nearby mission. Encounters with enemy planes and tanks prove the task more difficult than it seems. Joe Kubert nicely encapsulates the plot on his frenetic cover. Inside, the artist handles both action scenes and lighter moments with great skill. Despite the unusual plot, the drawings are not lacking in excitement and tension. Other artists in this silver age comic include Jerry Grandenetti. This is 69 of 236 Our Army at War issues by Kubert.
