Star Spangled War Stories v1 #57, 1957 - Anxious for his first mission, a frogman gets his chance when his sub is bombarded with depth charges. Joe Kubert's impactful opening splash is followed by nicely detailed panels and pages. Known  for his renditions of infantry, this tale of an underwater, surreptitious task is a refreshing change. This story was later reprinted in Our Army at War #164. Other artists in this golden age comic include Russ Heath and others. Cover by Ross Andru. This is 11 of 96 Star Spangled War issues by Kubert.
