G.I. Combat v1 #108, 1964 - With their fellow soldiers injured and out of action, Sgt. Rock joins Jeb Stuart and the Haunted Tank to get to the nearest mobile hospital. Joe Kubert did few stories for this title, but the inclusion of his signature character (Sgt. Rock) was probably an enticement. Exciting  layouts and sequences are his strength in many of his war tales, including this one (see interior page below). A few panels seem overworked inside, but are offset by other scenes and Kubert's fiery cover design. This story was later reprinted in Our Army at War #242. Other artists in this silver age comic include Ric Estrada. This is 39 of 190 G.I. Combat issues by Kubert.
