Our Fighting Forces #90 - Joe Kubert art & cover

Our Fighting Forces v1 #90, 1965 - Always first in many aspects of his life, a GI pushes his luck and tries to break more records when he participates in the D-Day invasion. His fervor and determination are depicted by Joe Kubert, who shows his own enthusiasm for the genre. His drawings fits nicely within sensible layouts. The pages themselves benefit from the artist's use of circular insets, breaking up the repetitiveness of rectangular panels (see interior page below). Kubert's cover, a study in perspective, is bit too crowded for my tastes. This story was later reprinted in Our Fighting Forces #134. Other artists in this silver age comic include Jack Abel. This is 48 of 110 Our Fighting Forces issues by Kubert.
