Eerie v1 #3, 1951 - A small town art competition leads to the emergence of nightmarish demons.
Wally Wood supplies partial inks, benefiting the overall art. His front cover and inside front cover (see interior page below), however, have far more aesthetic impact. Note the "headlight" effects above, an all-too-common occurrence during this era.
Joe Kubert tells of an evil ancient mirror and its ability to possess people. While some panels suffer from crowded dialogue (page 3,5), the visual storytelling is impressively clear and concise. These two stories were later reprinted in
