Thor v1 #174, 1970 - A brilliant, yet errant engineer creates a robotic Crypto-Man, infusing it with half of Thor's fabled strength. The artwork is engaging, well laid out, and carefully paced.
Jack Kirby's pencils once again benefit from Bill Everett's fine inking. Interestingly, his hand seems more evident on the bystanders than main characters (see interior page below). The cover, though proudly signed "Kirby and Everett", falls short of expectations. This is 50 of 54
