House of Secrets v1 #91, 1971 - Sentenced to a remote prison planet, an inmate's sole companion is the computer that attends to his needs. Rich Buckler borrows much of
Neal Adams' style during this era, enough to make their collaboration an almost seamless effort. Where the penciling falls short, Adams compensates with skillful and precise inking. Shadows and highlighting effects are visually arresting throughout. Amusingly, the two artists insert themselves into the story (see interior page below, panel 5). This story was later reprinted in
DC Special Blue Ribbon Digest #17. As good as the story art is, Adams' space-themed horror cover is even better. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Bill Draut and George Tuska.
