House of Secrets #93 – Bernie Wrightson cover, Alex Toth reprint

Bernie Wrightson
House of Secrets v1 #93, 1971 - On this phenomenal Bernie Wrightson cover, a couple pulls back the bedsheets to reveal a scarecrow-like figure. Their faces aghast and lit by moonlight, the artist nicely captures their moment of discovery (despite all the text). Note the additional flourishes: the decorative window and the elaborate figures carved in the bedpost. Inside, the contents include an Alex Toth reprint from My Greatest Adventure #85. Other artists in this issue include Jim Aparo, Nick Cardy and Tony DeZuniga. This is number 2 of 11 House of Secrets issues with Wrightson art and/or covers.
