Teen-age Romances #8 - Matt Baker art

Teen-age Romances v1 #8, 1950 - In three separate features, one woman tries to revive her mother's acting career, another tries to hide her poor home life and a third fends off unwelcome advances while searching for her ideal man. All three stories are elegantly drawn and laid out with clarity. As usual, his feminine lead characters are poised and attractive. Matt Baker also does an uncommonly large illustration for a two page text story, beautifully rendered with plenty of compositional white space. All of the artist's work in this issue was later reprinted in Diary Secrets #16. This is number 8 of 42 Teen-age Romances issues with Baker art and/or covers.
