House of Mystery #302 - Nestor Redondo art

House of Mystery #302, 1982 - "I, Vampire" was a continuing feature within the series during the early 1980s. It's popularity was greatly enhanced by Mike Kaluta (cover) and Tom Sutton (story art), two of this issue's artists. Nestor Redondo rarely drew for DC during this period, but comes through with a story of a gambler who puts his youth on the line. There are some beautiful panels, the most noteworthy being the time-elapsed montage on page four. Although he shares co-credit with another artist, Redondo appears to have done most of the inking as well. The last tale is written by Bruce Jones and drawn by Dan Spiegle. This is number 15 of 16 House of Mystery issues with Redondo art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Redondo or House of Mystery issues.
