Bizarre Adventures #28 - Neal Adams, Frank Miller art

Bizarre Adventures v1 #28, 1981 - This collection of unlikely heroes includes Elektra, appearing in her first solo story since her introduction in Daredevil. Frank Miller's outstanding artwork rivals some of his best work on that title. The opening splash page is stunning, followed by carefully paced layouts and impeccable drawings. Note that this story was later reprinted in Elektra Saga #1 (in full color). In another story, Neal Adams introduces the Shadow Hunter, a diminutive but explosive kung fu-hero. Although he shares credits with another penciller and a team of inkers, Adams' contribution is unmistakable. His solid black opening splash is a clever conceptual design of the lead character emerging from the darkness. Other artists in this issue include Wendy Pini, Steve Smallwood, Michael Golden, Steve Mitchell and Bob Larkin (cover). This is number 1 of 1 Bizarre Adventures issues with Adams art and/or covers and number 1 of 2 Bizarre Adventures issues with Miller art and/or covers.
