Swamp Thing v1 #17, 1975 - An evil organization known as the Conclave resurfaces, dispatching several robotic threats to terminate the Swamp Thing. Better known or his lush foliage and nature scenes, Nestor Redondo is surprisingly adept at drawing machinery. His two splash pages are excellently rendered, contrasting the swamp monster's organic body against his cold, mechanical foes. Also noteworthy is the artist's horizontal sequencing on page 3 (see interior page below). This is number 7 of 13 Swamp Thing issues with Redondo art and/or covers. New format tweaks continue, hopefully improving the site. All posts now have large scans of both covers and interior pages. All scans are now captioned, credited to the featured artist on this blog. Any feedback is appreciated.
