Jack Kirby |
First Romance (magazine) v1 #41, 1956 - Happy to see his girl, a truck driver lifts her up out of of joy. Behind them, a well-dressed potential suitor looks on. Jack Kirby places the couple in the center of the layout, attracting most of the attention. The large truck in the background fills the space nicely and without distraction. An unknown inker simplifies the scene without detracting too much from the original intent. Other artists in this golden age comic include Bob Powell. This is 1 of 3 First Romance issues by Kirby. /// Kirby gallery
