Nightmare v2 #13 - Matt Baker cover
Nightmare v2 #13, 1954 - This cover sports a rather bizarre scene of a skin diver's encounter with underwater female creatures. Matt Baker's layout incorporates multiple figures within a limited amount of space. In the foreground, a woman lies seductively on her back, vaguely reminiscent of the sirens of Greek mythology. Baker's fantastical illustration also benefits from the cover's rich, aquatic color palette. This is number 1 of 1 Nightmare v2 issues with Baker art and/or covers. Wonderful cover. The cramped, claustrophobic feel enhances the feeling that the diver is trapped. Good (blue sea-creature) girl art for an adventure title.
