Dreadstar #6 - Jim Starlin art & cover, Bernie Wrightson art

Jim Starlin
Dreadstar v1 #6, 1983 - Vance and company bring a life-saving serum to the planet Teltoga, whose people is currently being ravaged by a deadly virus. Upon delivery, the team's newest member Maxilon makes an impassioned speech for peace. Jim Starlin maintains artistic standards as his writing on the series improves. Bernie Wrightson's separate feature, Interstellar Toybox, introduces the inventor Aldo Gorney and his robot companion. Tasked with ending the war on the planet Agressia, this elderly genius comes up with a unique solution. Wrightson's art is a bit too loose, lacking clarity on certain panels. His back cover, however, is more thoughtful in layout and general execution. This is 6 of 32 Dreadstar issues by Starlin and 1 of 2 Dreadstar issues by Wrightson.
