All-Star Comics #38 - Alex Toth art

Alex Toth
All-Star Comics v1 #38, 1948 - Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan, Captain Kidd and other historical villains inexplicably come to life to battle the Justice Society. When the heroes turn up missing, Black Canary enlists the help of Wonder Woman to find them. A young Alex Toth draws the first dozen pages, but struggles with the layouts. His faces and figures, however, has an individual quality to the them. Disappointingly, the cover merely reproduces the story's opening splash. Note that this is Black Canary's first appearance with the JSA, not yet a full fledged member. Other artists in this golden age comic include Carmine Infantino. This is 2 of 4 All-Star Comics by Toth.
