Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #146, 1952 - Driving through a small town, Donald Duck recounts to Daisy his disastrous investment in a chicken farm. Carl Barks' cover is merely adequate, but his story art is exceptional. Many scenes require a large amount of detail, which the artist delivers with gusto. The sequence of the town covered in feathers (see interior page below) is just one of several intricately drawn pages. Other artists in this comic include Paul Murry.
