Our Fighting Forces #66 - Joe Kubert art

Our Fighting Forces #66
Our Fighting Forces v1 #66, 1962 - Told from the perspective of a camera, a series of war photographs is explained in great detail, covering the various battles only days before. The theme of anthropomorphized objects is not uncommon in DC war books, mostly used for variety's sake. Joe Kubert masterfully draws the shifting angles and viewpoints in the story. Most impressive is his opening title page, using an enlarged film strip to preview the subsequent action scenes. The results are vivid and contemporary. This story was later reprinted in  and GI Combat #146. Other artists in this silver age comic include Jerry Grandenetti and Jack Abel. This is 34 of 110 Our Fighting Forces issues by Kubert.
