My Love Story v2 #2, 1956 - When her boyfriend moves out of town for a job at a lake resort, Mimi begins to miss him and wonders if he's forgotten about her. Matt Baker captures the strains of young love with his beautiful renditions. While he seems to run out of steam on the final page, he begins the tale with an extraordinary splash. Two panel insets fit perfectly within a larger scene: a loving couple poised against the trunk of a large tree. From the title typography, the branches converge down toward the main characters. Other artists in this golden age romance comic include Vince Colletta. This is 1 of 3 My Love Story issues by Baker.
