Tarzan v1 #71, 1955 - When Princess Tavane is kidnapped and spirited away by a witch doctor, the Brothers of the Spear search for her in the Cave of the Dead Kings. Russ Manning shows some artistic progression with his layouts, mixing long horizontal panels among the smaller ones. He still struggles with faces and figures however. Other artists in this golden age comic include Jesse Marsh. This is 33 of 133 Tarzan issues by Manning.
