Secret Story Romances v1 #19, 1956 - Lila is crestfallen about her mother's disapproval of Ted, but he shows his true colors when caught with another girl. Only four pages long, this is an outstanding example of Matt Baker's work for Atlas romance comics. The story opens with nearly a full page splash of full figure drawings of the main characters. There is detail and sensitivity in every panel that follows. Page three has more shading and texture, adding to the richness of the scenes. This is a non-attributed story by Baker. Other artists in this golden age comic include Al Hartley and Ann Brewster. This is 1 of 2 Secret Story Romances issues by Baker.
