Daredevil #182 - Frank Miller art & cover

Daredevil v1 #182 marvel comic book cover art by Frank Miller
Frank Miller
Daredevil v1 #182, 1982 - Convinced that Elektra's death was faked, Daredevil stops at nothing to find her. Meanwhile, the Punisher cuts a deal that releases him from prison. Frank Miller's cover seems too simplified and colorful to convey DD's loss. Fortunately, he compensates with a splendid interior story. The layouts are straightforward, yet filled with spacious panels and bold, spontaneous drawings. Matt Murdock's eyes are disproportionately large on the opening splash, intensifying his expression and state of mind. Portions of this story were later reprinted in Elektra Saga #4. This is number 24 of 33 Daredevil issues with Miller art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Miller or Daredevil issues. See also this blog's Frank Miller checklist.
